Hi there,
I am Capucine, a french girl obsessed by books since the age of six. I briefly studied literature but ended-up working as a banker in London. After six years there, I have recently settled in Seoul, Korea with my lovely husband M. With limited job opportunities , I decided to pursue in writing what I have been doing candidly for years: advise my friends what they should read.
I will try to be as eclectic as my own library from life-changing reads to chick flicks-let’s- rest-my-brain-reads. And don’t imagine a kindle, ebooks or any kind of digital library ersatz! I love the book as an object as much as reading. My books are torn, stained with cappuccino, tea and/or chocolate, probably not even suitable for second-hand stores. They travelled in my bags, in my friends’ bags and more recently in removal boxes from London to Seoul by boat. They each have a story of their own and if they could speak I am sure they would have lots to say.
My primary language being french I will write in that language, swapping to English when reading English-books. However, I will try here and there to translate my posts, if you can bear my very poor translating capacities.
Happy reading!
